The Company was started
in 1940 By Sam Heckford in the basement of his house
at 318 Tillson Ave.
A new 4,000 sq ft facility built in 1961 at
216 Tillson Ave, with
Sam’s son, Wes Heckford taking the position of President. A new 8,500 sq ft facility built in 1977 at 213 Tillson Ave, with Wes’s son, Kirby Heckford taking the managers position in 1991, and then position of President in 2000, becoming the 3rd
generation of
the family to own this glass business.
Residential product include the names Andersen,
Dashwood, VinylBilt, Oran, Robert, Casabella, KML, MDL, ThermaTru, Steelcraft, just to name a few. Tillsonburg Glass and Mirror LTD also deals with Commercial Store
fronts for many National Accounts, including Tim Horton’s, Kelsey’s, Burger King, and Dairy Queen, in an area stretching as wide as Windsor to Ottawa.
